Cloud Architecture Review and Migration
Independent senior review of cloud architecture decisions, and hands-on delivery of migrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
The problem this solves
Cloud decisions are expensive to reverse. Choosing the wrong compute model, region layout, or migration sequence costs months of engineering time before anyone notices. Most teams only get an outside opinion after the budget is committed.
I provide that opinion before the commitment — and, when the decision is made, the hands-on delivery to execute it.
What the engagement looks like
It starts with a map of the current environment: critical services, dependencies, failure points, and actual costs. From there I deliver a written assessment with concrete options and trade-offs, sized for the team that will operate the result — not for a reference architecture diagram.
For migrations, I have delivered this work end to end: moving workloads between clouds (AWS EKS to GCP GKE for Decathlon Spain), off platforms (Heroku to Cloud SQL in EU regions at Copado), and into managed services (ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, EventBridge) where they reduce operational load.
Typical deliverables
- Written architecture assessment with prioritized recommendations and cost implications.
- Migration plan with sequencing, rollback points, and ownership per step.
- The migration itself, delivered as Terraform the internal team keeps.
- A decision record leadership can refer back to.
Who this is for
CTOs and heads of platform who need a senior second opinion before committing budget, or a contractor who can execute a migration without pulling the internal team off the roadmap. Certified: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, Google Cloud Engineer.
